Democrats - It's not very pretty out there, is it? We have a President behaving like he's King, his followers behaving like he's God, the leader of Russia manipulating him like a useful idiot, a Senate leader who's using him in order to further his own agenda, and a judicial branch stuck in first gear, three moves behind the action. What do you do now? Here are some thoughts:
Write your US Senators and Congressmen (and women) ALL of them, your collective voice does matter. Volunteer to do some door knocking, getting unregistered people registered to vote, help organize a car or van pool to get people to their polling place, and other work on behalf of your chosen Democratic candidate, donate some spare cash, get the word out to all your friends, and offer some free rides if they go with you.
The first 3 words in our Constitution preamble reads: "We The People" It does NOT say: We the 1%, We the billionaires, We the Fortune 500, We the Professional Limited Liability Corporations, We the launderers of Russian Syndicate money etc. To quote a movie line: "Right now it's ugly X ugly. This is when the ugly get going!
Tomorrow AM I'm going to start writing my lawmakers, and they'll hear from me every month until the November election. I'm also going to volunteer at least 5 hours a week for the next 9 months wherever I can. I hope some of you do too. 🙂

Talking without action is just more talk, something we're not exactly running out of right now.
This is what the grass roots can do when we get tired of watching the right shred our Constitution. It's time to get busy. I live right in the heart of a red state, but that's not stopping me.

That's because you have wisdom beyond your years. Hopefully you'll be the lady that flips it blue! 🙂
@suzianne saidYour post reminds me of this clip which is partly how I see the Democratic Party in the US

Kind of makes the case for supporting Bernie Sanders .
We can sit around discussing and making plans for making more plans . That is precisely the "great plan ' which the moderate Democrats plan to begin planning to plan at some time in the future . Planning dates still unspecified (but they have another plan to plan that too).
In 2008 Obama said I would get healthcare , he lied .
In 2016 Trump said I would get great healthcare , he lied .
Cut the BS and choose the best plan from the over 20 countries which have solved this problem .
@caissad4 saidThe dogheads are already accusing Bernie of getting help from... you guessed it, the Ruskies!!! Hey it worked before.

@caissad4 saidCaissad4, I am truly worried about that guy. They're out to destroy him

@earl-of-trumps saidYou see , I don't think the Democrats would destroy Sanders . If they make him a martyr , it would be the end of the Democratic party . The Republicans are another matter entirely .
Caissad4, I am truly worried about that guy. They're out to destroy him
But there are already discussions of whether we Progressives should attempt to take over the Democratic Party to advance our agenda or to separate entirely from the Democrats and form the Progressive Party and pursue our agenda . This is irrespective of the outcome of the election . If the Establishment Corporate Democrats will not even give any respect to Progressives then we will give them none in return . I would prefer a Progressive Party as a separate political party .
I sincerely hope the 2 party system is coming to an end .
